FRAMING QUALITY
PICTURE-IT OFFERS A FIVE YEAR WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEE.
Framing quality however refers to the quality of materials and techniques that are directly in contact with your arts used to frame your picture.
The following guide should be used:
STANDARD QUALITY
FOR: Items of low senimental or monetary value that are being framed to provide temporary
visual appeal over the 5-10 years under normal conditions.
SUCH AS: posters, prints, postcards, temporary documents, mass produced arts, snapshot
photographs,jigsaws, childrens art (however your childs first or special painting
migt need more protection).
OFFERS: A moderate level of protection from airborne pollution and acid damage.
NB: Most items framed using "standard quality framing" will be permanantly attached. to provide a visually appealing tidy and flat finish to your framed item.
Standard quality uses a combination of budget and commended framing levels as set out by the fine art trade guild to achieve a visually appealing framed item.
FOR: Items of sentimental or monetary value that are being framed to last for approximately
20 years under normal conditions.
SUCH AS: Original arts, limited edition items, heirlooms, documents,older items of importance. incl memorabilia, garments.
OFFERS: "A high level of protection from physical and mechanical damage, airborne pollution and acids generated by framing materials".
NB: No item framed will be permanently attached (we only use fully reversible methods as set out by the fine art trade guild). Arts/items on paper may not be entirely flat once framed.
Picture-it will try and flatten your arts/items as much as is possibly save to do so.
Cockling or an uneven look to the art must be accepted as a possibility.
FOR: Items of high sentimental or monetary value.
SUCH AS: Items of historical significance, restored items, heirlooms.
OFFERS: The ultimate level of protection from physical and mechanical damage, airborne
pollution and acids generated by framing materials for up to 35 years in normal
conditions.
